THE MANAGER WRAPS FILMING

Hannes Lang’s new feature-length documentary
I WANT TO SEE THE MANAGER is our production debut

The shooting of Petrolio’s production debut I WANT TO SEE THE MANAGER is completed. The feature-length documentary film, which is co-produced by Miramonte Film from South Tyrol and the French-German broadcaster ZDF / Arte, was filmed over the past six months in seven countries on three continents. The final shooting period took place in Asia with shooting days in China, Thailand and finally India. Director Hannes Lang worked again with cinematographer Thilo Schmidt and sound engineer Peter Roesner, with whom he had already teamed up for his award-winning debut film PEAK. The film will be edited by Stefan Stabenow.The theatrical release of the episodic documentary, which surveys the current shift within the geopolitical power structure, is scheduled for late summer 2014.

Principal photography commences for Hannes Lang’s
new feature-length documentary I WANT TO SEE THE MANAGER

Following extensive research and preparations, which were supported by the Gerd Ruge grant from the Film and Media Fund NRW, an A38 production grant, and an artist grant from the Office for Culture, Bolzano, shooting has now begun for PETROLIO's first own production I WANT TO SEE THE MANAGER. The feature-length documentary by Hannes Lang is destined for theatrical release and co-produced by Miramonte Film from South Tyrol and ZDF/ Arte. The film will be shot in seven different countries on three continents over the course of the year, to be completed early 2014. Hannes Lang will be accompanied by Thilo Schmidt (cinematography), Peter Rösner (sound), Johannes Klais (2nd camera) and Manuela Wilpernig (production manager). The film will be shot in Mumbai in India, Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia, Beijing in China, Detroit in the US, Pompei in Italy, Chiang Mai in Thailand and Caracas in Venezuela.
